> Install Kisuke Connect on Windows

The current version of Kisuke Connect requires Windows 10 (1903) or later.

1. [Download Kisuke Connect](https://beta.kisuke.dev/downloads/) from the Kisuke website.
2. Run the installer. If you have a previous version installed, you may be prompted to uninstall it first.
3. Choose an install location and complete the installation.
4. Open Kisuke Connect — a sign-in window will appear. Sign in with **Google** or **GitHub** using the same account you use in Kisuke.
5. After signing in, Kisuke Connect will live in your **system tray** — click the **^** arrow in the bottom-right corner of your taskbar to find the Kisuke Connect icon.

<Info>
  Prefer the command line? You can also install Kisuke Connect via [CLI](/installation/cli).
</Info>

## Firewall (optional)

Kisuke Connect may prompt you to allow network access. Click **Allow** when the Windows Firewall dialog appears.

If you need to configure the firewall manually:

1. Open **Windows Defender Firewall**
2. Click **Allow an app through firewall**
3. Find **Kisuke Connect** and enable both Private and Public networks

## Troubleshooting

If Kisuke Connect does not appear in the system tray, check the overflow area by clicking the **^** arrow in the taskbar.
