# Linux

> Install Kisuke Connect on Linux

The current version of Kisuke Connect requires Linux kernel 4.19 or later.

[Download Kisuke Connect](https://beta.kisuke.dev/downloads/) for Linux and install using the package format for your distribution.

## Supported formats

| Format   | Architecture | Best for                                                                   |
| -------- | ------------ | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| AppImage | x64          | Most distributions — no install needed, just download and run              |
| `.deb`   | x64          | Ubuntu, Debian, Linux Mint, Pop!\_OS, and other Debian-based distributions |
| `.rpm`   | x64          | Fedora, RHEL, CentOS, openSUSE, and other RPM-based distributions          |

Open Kisuke Connect — a sign-in window will appear. Sign in with **Google** or **GitHub** using the same account you use in Kisuke.

After signing in, Kisuke Connect will live in your **system tray** — look for the Kisuke Connect icon in your panel's notification area.

## Troubleshooting

If the system tray icon does not appear, make sure your desktop environment supports system tray icons (e.g., install `gnome-shell-extension-appindicator` on GNOME).
